Lightning

Lightning was adopted in September 2009 and it wasn't long before he was out on trail rides.

Lightning's new person (who also adopted Sugar) wrote this: I just want to say thank you for helping me find the horses of my dreams. Lightning is full of energy and ready to explore.... He keeps you on your toes but so gentle. He's so gentle that my little pug got under his back feet and accidently stepped on him but at that moment Lightning took care and stepped around my pug and looked back at him. Sugar, she's so prim and proper. I can take a relaxing ride in elegance with Sugar. I love to prance down the road. Both of my new babies are also so well mannered, they come to me in the pasture and say "hey mom... lets ride"

Having his feet trimmed for the first time since he came to Horse Feathers. As you can see, he is very easy going.

Lightning is a 3-year-old gelding who came to us Dec. 5, 2008. He seems a very level-headed boy, and we have been evaluating him to determine his adoptability and what type of home would be best for him. He is 14.2-14.3 and his trainer says he is gaited, a Tennessee Walker/Arabian/QH cross. He needs an experienced rider, as he's very smart and needs someone who can finish his saddle training.
