FROM TULSAWORLD

On June 29, Latimer County Sherriff's Deputies raided and seized over 80 emaciated animals from an organization operating as Cajun Country Ranch Anmal Rescue in Wilburton, OK. The animals were signed over to authorities as prosecution began to become a stark reality, simply based on the animal's overall health, as well as their living conditions. Horse Feathers has stepped up to assist three of the horses needing a safe place to land. They arrived on July 10. They will require intensive refeeding, as well as veterinary care. If you are interested in sponsoring the care of one of these horses, please contact us.

October, 2011 - Not completely rehabilitated, but getting much better!

Both mares appear to be in foal, with the sorrel mare being in later stages than the black. We have not completed a pregnancy test, as getting them healthy has been a more important issue than stressing them with tests that do not have a bearing on their immediate rehabilitation.
